Starting at 10:40, I was able to maintain a steady pace of approximately 3:08 per kilometer, finishing around 18:05. Using my Garmin device to track time and pace helped me stay motivated and monitor my progress in real time. One thing I learned during this run is the importance of pacing in long-distance runs, especially on trails where terrain can be unpredictable. Keeping a consistent pace reduces the risk of burnout and injury, enabling a smoother and more enjoyable experience. The trail conditions at QUITCHERBIT were challenging yet rewarding, offering a mix of terrain that tested both endurance and focus. Incorporating such long trail runs into your weekly routine can significantly improve stamina and mental toughness. Preparation is key, so make sure to hydrate well before and after your run, and consider using a GPS watch like Garmin to analyze your splits and adjust your training accordingly. Personally, Sunday long runs have become a highlight of my week. They offer not only physical benefits but also a mental break and connection with nature. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting, exploring different trails and keeping track of your times can add fun and progress to your running journey.
