Returning to my "first mind"—a place of clarity and authenticity—was not immediate, but it became my goal. One important lesson I learned is that healing is not linear. There were days filled with doubt and setbacks, but also moments of insight and strength. Practicing mindfulness and self-compassion helped me navigate this process. By tuning in to my feelings without judgment, I gradually rebuilt my sense of self. Connecting with supportive friends and expressing my thoughts through writing gave me additional outlets for healing. These practices reminded me that I am more than my struggles—I am a whole person with resilience and growth potential. If you find yourself in a similar situation, remember that reclaiming your original self is possible. It starts with small steps, like revisiting your core values, embracing your true emotions, and being patient with your progress. Over time, this journey brings renewed peace and a stronger connection to your authentic identity.
