Family room at $150/ night in KL 💯

📍Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur

58 Jalan Ang Seng, Brickfields

50470 Kuala Lumpur

Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Rating ✨✨✨✨✨

Found this under Trip.com Most Instagrammable Award section and it definitely did not disappoint! 🤩 just look at photos 6 & 7! This hotel is also located right beside the Bangsar LRT station 🚝and 10 - 15 mins from Bangsar Shopping Center and Bangsar Village, making this place a true hidden gem! 💎

👍🏻 Good room rates! Paid approx. $150/night for 3 pax 💰 (booked via Trip.com and had a further discount for 3 nights and above)

👍🏻 Guaranteed high floor! Alila rooms are from 35F - 40F and lobby is at 41F

👍🏻 Beautiful skylines! The outdoor pool and gym on 40F boast really good views of the KL skyline which is therapeutic and calming. 🎆

👍🏻 Good mattress, duvets and blackout blinds that provided good and quality sleep 😴

👍🏻 Complimentary snacks and beverages! Free coffee machine, chilled tea and local snacks at the main room level lobbies - saved us the hassle of making our own in the room. ☕️🫖

👍🏻 Advocate for recycling! They partnered with giving* to collect any items that were gently used and can be donated for a second lease of life. ♻️

👍🏻 The bath amenities were amazing, smells so good and moisturising! 😍

😅Phone signal is very very poor at the property and I had to resort to wifi. 🛜

😅Takes at least 3 - 5 minutes to get to your room from the drop off point. At least a minute or more from driveway as there are separate lifts to the lobby and rooms. You need to take the lift to the 41F then transfer to another lift down to the level of your room. 🐌 But I do recognise that it is for safety!! 💯

😅 Housekeeping is not very consistent (small matter). We had 3 pax for the stay and had to request for additional towels and the toiletries were replenished on one day but not on another. ❓

😅 TV channels were okay, not many channels but decent enough since they had abit of everything. 📺

😅 Confusing shower instructions. They use the same knob to control the rain and handheld shower and one wrong turn will leave you drenched from the rain shower. 🚿

This place is not absolutely perfect but seriously i have no complains with the price and sleep that we could get. A place that will not break your wallet if you need to fit a small family for a couple of nights!

I would just point out to take note of the separate lift lobbies and the phone signal. Otherwise, hope you enjoy this hotel as much as my family did! 🤩

Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur
6/25 Edited to

... Read moreDuring my stay at Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur, I found it to be an excellent choice for families seeking an affordable yet comfortable getaway. The location is very convenient, being right beside the Bangsar LRT station, which made exploring Kuala Lumpur’s main attractions hassle-free without needing a car. Nearby shopping centers like Bangsar Village and Bangsar Shopping Center are just a short ride away, perfect for casual outings or meals. What truly stands out about this hotel is its commitment to sustainability, partnering with giving* to promote recycling and donate gently used items. It’s uplifting to see hospitality places promoting eco-friendly practices. The room itself was spacious enough for three people, and the beds were very comfortable with high-quality mattresses and blackout blinds that really helped ensure a good night's sleep. The extra touches like complimentary local snacks and beverages in the lobby made mornings more enjoyable and saved us extra trips to stores. I especially liked having access to the free coffee machine and chilled tea – small conveniences that made a big difference. While the phone signal was unreliable inside the building, the Wi-Fi connection was stable, which kept us connected throughout our stay. The separate lifts for lobby and rooms could be confusing at first and added a bit of walking time, but it’s clearly a safety design to enhance guest security. The outdoor pool and gym located on the 40th floor offered breathtaking views of the city skyline, making workouts and relaxation genuinely pleasurable. If you’re an Instagram enthusiast, this spot is certainly instagrammable with picturesque backdrops. Housekeeping services were generally good, though occasional lapses in restocking towels and toiletries happened, so it’s advisable to communicate any needs promptly. The shower controls might take some getting used to, but once familiar, they function well. Overall, this hotel provides great value, especially for small families who want to experience Kuala Lumpur without spending a fortune. Given the price point and quality of sleep, it’s hard to find better accommodation options with such a combination of comfort, location, and amenities. Highly recommended for travelers looking for affordable, family-friendly lodging in KL.
