Why can’t men do even a little housework?!

Three weeks back, I left for a work trip. My husband didn’t wanna come with me. I thought Whatever, he’s an adult. Week 1, he decided to be a grill master… even though we don’t own a grill. He stacked 3 baking sheets, dumped lighter fluid on them, and set the smoke alarm blaring for 40 minutes. The oven still reeks of gasoline.

Then he search on TikTok about “minimalist living” and threw out half our dishes, saying “we only need one bowl each.” But he picked the salad bowl and the dog’s water dish. To eat, he bought 20 frozen burritos and lived off those. By week two, he was eating them half frozen. He stopped doing laundry, too. Just rotated two pairs of basketball shorts. By the time I got home, they were stiff as cardboard. The dog started growling every time he sat down.

Leaving your adult husband alone for 3 weeks should not feel like coming home to a disaster movie. Do your men do this too?
