One of my best reading months this year!

November was a crazy month and I didn’t think I would get ANY reading done. I went on a 2 week road trip with my dog to visit my family in Denver (and I stopped at so many amazing bookstores along the way which I will post about this week!) and it also happens to be the busiest time of year at work. Somehow, I managed to read 7 amazing books, none of which I rated below 4 stars. I read more nonfiction than usual thanks to Nonfiction November which made me feel productive and also made the novels I read feel like a special little treat. I highly recommend picking up ANY of these this month to read before the year is up.

... Read moreNovember proved to be an extraordinary month for reading, even amidst personal travels and a hectic work schedule. This article not only reflects on the joy of discovering seven incredible books—all rated above four stars—but also highlights the importance of embracing genres beyond usual preferences. Nonfiction November inspired many readers to dive into profound narratives and thought-provoking subjects, making nonfiction a celebrated aspect of a reader's journey. Among my recommended reads, several titles have sparked discussions in the literary community, indicating a significant cultural relevance. Books such as "Before We Were Innocent" and "Sex and Rage" exemplify profound storylines that resonate deeply with contemporary issues, while classic favorites beckon readers with nostalgia. Moreover, titles like "A Very Nice Girl" and "Lie With Me" offer unique perspectives through their characters, making them must-reads for the season. Each of these books stands out not just for their storytelling but also for their impact on readers navigating personal and societal themes. As 2023 draws to a close, picking up one of these recommendations could provide a meaningful literary experience that enriches your reading list and sparks conversations long after the last page is turned.
