Spicy Shrimp Pasta
*Shrimp
*Fettuccine
*Spicy Marinara
*Parmesan
Serving size about 550g
⭐️Overall rating: 2/5 because I don’t really like my shrimp in red sauce unless I’m dipping them in cocktail sauce. Plus I followed the recipe to a “T” and it had me cook my noodles 1 minute less than the package said and I like my noodles soft.

I recently tried making spicy shrimp pasta with a spicy marinara sauce, fettuccine, and parmesan—similar to the dish described here. While I love shrimp, I usually prefer them with lighter sauces or cocktail sauce, so the red spicy marinara was a bold change for me too. One thing I learned is that cooking noodles exactly to package time matters. If you prefer softer pasta, cooking even a minute less than recommended can make it too firm. Next time, I plan to follow the full cooking time for a more tender bite. Also, pairing shrimp with a spicy marinara isn't always the best fit for everyone. If you're like me and find the acidity or spice of the sauce overwhelming when combined with shrimp, try serving shrimp on the side with cocktail sauce or a lemon butter dip. This can allow you to enjoy the pasta and shrimp separately and better appreciate the flavors. A good tip is to taste the sauce before combining it with shrimp. Adjust the spice level or sweetness to balance the flavors if it feels too intense. Adding fresh herbs like basil or parsley can also freshen up the dish. Overall, experimenting with shrimp pasta recipes is fun, and adapting the sauce and pasta cooking time to your preferences can elevate the meal significantly.
