My no buy 2025 spending list. This is the last one

I bought my first cosplay in 2020 when I first decided to start cosplaying. I ordered one from Amazon and used what was in my closet and bought a pirate costume from the Spirit Halloween store. I made up my mind that January 1, 2021 would be the official day. So, I filmed a few videos in December, and they sat in the draft until January 1. After that, the rest was history. In 4 years, I probably spent over $5K, but no more.

I don't regret it. Because I've made new friends and met a lot of amazing and talented people and built a strong community. I also learned new skills such as filming and editing something I will continue to do.

Make no mistake, this doesn't mean that I gave up cosplay. It only means that I won't be buying anymore. So yeah, you saw it first. This is the last one.

Understanding the importance of sustainability and mindful consumption, many figures in the community advocate for reducing expenditures while still enjoying the art of cosplaying. For those considering their own no buy challenge, it’s important to set clear goals and outcomes. Engaging with the community can provide valuable insights into creative ways to adapt existing wardrobes and utilize thrifted pieces.
