Reflecting on my own May favorites, I’ve found that embracing a non-materialistic approach truly enriches my daily life. Instead of accumulating more things, focusing on motherhood essentials and experiences creates meaningful memories that last longer than any physical item. One practice that helped me this month was 'final purging'—a deliberate effort to declutter and only keep what truly brings peace and joy. This lightening of my home environment freed up both physical and mental space, enabling me to appreciate weekend moments spent outdoors with family. I also realized how important it is to appreciate the small things and people in our lives, which aligns perfectly with anti-consumerism values. It encouraged me to slow down and prioritize quality time over material possessions. If you’re exploring your May favorites, consider what items or habits help you feel lighter and more fulfilled.
