Found some new (and new to me) treats at Walmart and had to post my haul and ranking!
✨ TIED FOR 1ST PLACE: Bubs Sour & Sweet Mix AND Skittles Pop’d. Honestly, I can’t choose between these two because it entirely depends on your mood!
- Bubs: If you want something chewy, these are unmatched. They have that perfect, light “marshmallow” texture but with a bit more bite. The flavor variety in this bag is everything. ($4.87 | 100 cals for 2.5 pcs)
The flavors in the variety pack are strawberry vanilla (my absolute fave! 🍓), lemon raspberry (so good 🍋), tutti frutti, and banana toffee!
- Skittles Pop’d: If you want a crunch, these freeze dried Skittles are SO good. Super airy, and I feel like the freeze drying makes the actual flavor way stronger. ($5.96 | 120 cals for 30 pcs)
🥈 3RD PLACE: Lifesavers Gummies Fruit Rings
These are super cute and a fun switch up from the classic shape! They taste good, but they’re nothing extremely special. I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy them again, but I’d definitely eat them if they were sitting around. ($2.74 | 100 cals for 7 pcs)
❌ LAST PLACE: Skittles Gummies Fuego
They’re definitely interesting, they’re perfectly chewy and exactly as advertised (spicy yet sweet). But I wouldn’t buy them again. I just don’t think spicy candy is my thing, or at least not a whole bag of it! Skip these unless you really love that heat. ($2.20 | 100 cals for 12 pcs)
Have you guys tried any of these yet? What’s your current go to candy?
... Read moreWhen shopping for candy at Walmart, I've found that trying a variety pack can be a game changer for discovering new favorite flavors. For example, the Bubs Sour & Sweet Mix offers a unique chewiness with its light marshmallow-like texture, elevating the typical gummy experience. It's interesting how the strawberry vanilla flavor stands out with a creamy twist, something you don’t usually expect in sour candies.
The Skittles Pop’d caught my attention because freeze-drying really intensifies the fruit flavors and adds such a satisfying crunch. It’s perfect for those moments when you want a lighter, crisp candy rather than something chewy. I realized that these are great for snacking on the go or even sharing, as they seem to melt in your mouth differently than classic Skittles.
I was curious about the Lifesavers Gummies Fruit Rings, and while they didn't blow me away, the ring shape adds a playful feel to your candy stash. It’s a subtle but fun variation that changes the way you perceive a familiar candy. These are good for everyday treats but maybe not as an exciting pick.
Trying the Skittles Gummies Fuego was definitely a bold choice—spicy candy is a niche taste. The chewiness is spot-on, but the heat can overpower the sweetness if you’re not into spicy snacks. From my experience, spicy candies work best when mixed in moderation with sweeter options; otherwise, the heat can be overwhelming.
Overall, my Walmart candy haul showed me how candy texture and flavor intensity play a huge role in enjoyment. Whether you prefer chewy, crunchy, or a daring spicy kick, there’s something for everyone. When you shop, I recommend looking for resealable packages to keep your candy fresh and to pace yourself through the flavors. Have fun exploring your sweet tooth with these picks! Feel free to share your favorites and any hidden gems you’ve discovered recently.
