It’s all about consistency. At first it hurt so much, hip thrust used to kill me the most with cable kickbacks as well, only doing 5lb for one and 10lb for the other. Now I’m at 30-35 with hip thrust in that particular machine because it burns more then the two weights balanced on each side. Cable
