Absolutely love Frieda McFadden and her books! Finally finished her Housemaid series. As much as I enjoyed this book, I think her first book was the best of the series. I am very biased because I always think the first book of the series is the best.
The way the plot stayed steady on Millies life with her family was slow. I was always waiting for a murder in this book. Part two it started to pick up and was curious on how this would go. I always had my theories on how it would go. Obviously making Enzo and Nico look guilty, you had to look at other people since it was too obvious. I was always on Enzos side. I knew he wouldn’t murder the neighborhood but when he confessed, I couldn’t believe it. I had to finish the book.
Ada’s point of view was nice to see. Shes very mature for her young age. But she does grow from this experience, especially with the boy at school and her reaction to his persistence.
I would love to see Ada’s life after graduation and how she goes out to the world on her own. I always pictured her as a detective.
