Read moreFrom my experience engaging with social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and X/Twitter, I have noticed that many users fall into the trap of expecting instant validation and career opportunities just for sharing their lives. This phenomenon, often described as the "Everyone Deserves a Fanbase" delusion, leads to unrealistic expectations where individuals believe their everyday experiences are inherently interesting to the broader public. However, the truth is that most content shared lacks uniqueness or genuine value, and as a result, it fails to capture sustained attention. The constant pursuit of likes and followers can result in frustration and disappointment when algorithms don't favor certain content, leading to claims that the system is "rigged." This mindset ignores the fact that earning an audience requires dedication, creativity, and authenticity, rather than entitlement or frequent posting. Social media platforms often amplify this toxic mentality by rewarding outrage, vanity, and addictive behaviors, making it harder for users to distinguish between genuine engagement and superficial popularity. I believe the underlying issue is a deep societal shift where validation through social media replaces more meaningful human connections and self-worth grounded in personal achievements. Recognizing this can help individuals reassess their online behavior, understand the significance of providing real value, and engage more responsibly. Ultimately, real influence and support come from consistent effort and content that truly resonates—not from chasing empty metrics or expecting fame as a given.

A purple and silver handheld device, possibly for relaxation, rests on a pink mat with cartoon characters. Yellow stars and lightning bolt graphics surround the device. A hand is visible on the right. Text overlay reads: "HAVE ANXIETY? TRY THIS LITTLE TRICK."
✨Just Chill Out✨
This cute little thing is called a Chill Pill. (Heavily magnified for the details.) For the anxious girlies it’s a curious little thing that sends small currents through your hand in order to help ground you. Some people use them for sleep, travel, general stimming and for me I use it to stop p
