When you feel like enough it’s feels great

Being enough means recognizing your worth without needing validation from others. It's about understanding that who you are, as you are, is valuable and deserving of love and respect. Embrace your imperfections and strengths alike, because they make you uniquely you.

... Read moreIt's a heavy, isolating feeling when someone's words or actions make you feel utterly worthless. I've walked that difficult path, believing for a long time that my value was dependent on how others saw me, especially when a past relationship left me feeling completely drained and questioning everything about myself. The echoes of 'you made me feel worthless' played on repeat in my mind, making it hard to see any light. For a long time, I struggled with the lingering pain and the belief that I wasn't good enough. Every criticism, every perceived flaw, was amplified, and I found myself constantly seeking approval, trying to earn love and respect that I felt I no longer deserved. I remember looking at myself and thinking, 'In a world that made me feel worthless, will I ever feel something, like I'm finally enough?' It was a pivotal question that started a slow, deliberate shift in my perspective. But slowly, I started to realize that holding onto that narrative wasn't serving me. I began a journey, a conscious effort, to reclaim my sense of 'enough.' One of the first things I learned was the power of internal validation. Instead of waiting for someone else to tell me I was worthy, I started actively acknowledging my own strengths, my kindness, my resilience. It wasn't an overnight change, but daily affirmations and celebrating small victories truly helped. I learned to be my own cheerleader, even when it felt uncomfortable. It was crucial to understand that sometimes, the people who make us feel worthless are not meant to be permanent fixtures in our lives. Setting healthy boundaries, or even stepping away from toxic relationships, was a hard but necessary step for me. It allowed me to create space for self-compassion and healing. This space was where I truly started to fall in love with the person I was becoming – someone who valued herself regardless of external opinions. Embracing my imperfections became a key part of feeling 'finally enough.' The idea that I had to be perfect to be loved or respected was a lie that kept me stuck. Now, I see my quirks and flaws not as weaknesses, but as integral parts of what makes me uniquely me, deserving of love and respect. It's about understanding that being whole doesn't mean being flawless, it means embracing every part of who you are. If you're currently feeling that crushing weight of worthlessness, please know you're not alone. Your worth isn't determined by someone else's inability to see it. You are valuable, you are deserving, and with time, self-care, and a deliberate focus on your inner voice, you too can find your way to truly feeling enough, just as you are.
