Made a tough decision….
So I came to the conclusion that I am no longer going to dye my locs!
Making this decision was the ABSOLUTE HARDEST decision for myself.
I have been dying my hair with semi permanent dye since before loving my hair and the honey blonde became my staple. I get compliments on it everyday and whenever I felt I needed a change, there I’d go, off to the beauty supply to dye it up.
I had to take an internal look at myself and really ask myself why is that the first thing I do when I don’t feel my best, or feel like I need a change?
Ultimately I’m also lowkey damaging my locs overtime. While I do not have any significant damage I have found 3 weak locs lately and I’m wondering if it really is because of the consistent dyeing. 🤔
Will I ever dye it again? Maybe! Maybe a dark color but for now, I’m putting it down and allowing hair to grow out. So far it ’s been about 5 months since ai last dyed it.
