Life with Autism

💙

To all the families out there that are afraid of giving your child/ren medication, it’s ok…For years I swore I would never give in to giving my son medication but now that we are riding this wave I wanna say “DO WHAT YOU FEEL IS RIGHT FOR YOUR CHILD/REN!”

It has does wonders for our family, no more physical harming, mood swings(still working through it) and most importantly him being happy!

The road to learning and adjusting never ends, just when you think one thing is over another thing pops up. It’s a life you adapt to.

My advice find your people, where you can run to and just liveeeee, talk and be you. This life is so hard and I will continue to say it. It’s also so beautiful so take the good days, run with it because the bad days go away when you embrace the good days!

... Read moreLiving with autism is a continuous journey filled with ups and downs, and each family's experience is uniquely their own. Many parents face difficult decisions about whether to use medication for their children with autism. It’s important to remember that choosing medication is a personal decision based on what works best for your child’s well-being and happiness. The story shared highlights the positive impact that medication has had on managing mood swings, reducing physical outbursts, and bringing more joy to daily life. Consistency and understanding are key, as progress often comes gradually and involves adapting to new challenges as they arise. Beyond medical treatment, building a strong support system is vital. Connecting with other families who understand the challenges of autism — those “people” you can turn to — helps create a sense of belonging and relief. Whether it’s through online communities, local groups, or trusted friends, sharing experiences and encouragement makes the journey less isolating. One inspiring update shows a child named Tytan experiencing a whole week of happiness and regulation, highlighting how progress, even in small steps, is worth celebrating. A peaceful bedtime routine and fewer outbursts demonstrate the positive outcomes of patience, care, and support. Remember, embracing the good days and learning from the hard ones is part of adapting to life with autism. Every family’s path is different, and finding what works for your child is what truly matters. Stay hopeful, seek support, and cherish the moments of joy along the way.
