能克制住自己去纠正别人的欲望,是一个成人最大的自律。
In many situations, especially when supporting someone grieving, it’s important to honor their way of processing emotions rather than rushing to offer solutions or corrections. Respecting a client’s preference for emotional restraint means listening carefully and validating their feelings without interruption or judgment. From personal encounters, I’ve noticed that when people feel their grief is acknowledged on their own terms, it fosters trust and openness. Instead of pushing others to express themselves the way we think best, allowing space for silence or subtle cues can be just as powerful. This approach requires genuine patience and self-control but leads to deeper connections and better emotional healing. Sometimes adult self-discipline means resisting the impulse to 'fix' and instead offering compassionate presence, especially in delicate emotional moments.
