@ryokudo.sg has a matcha bar called MATCBA. It is housed right inside their restaurant which specialises in donburi.
Their rice bowls are decent but what stood out more for me is actually their matcha lattes. They use pretty good quality matchas which are not too astringent and smooth tasting. If you prefer matchas with an umami flavour, you can try their Ryo matcha.
I tried their strawberry premium matcha latte which is not bad but after discovering that the matcha itself is of high quality, I must rather enjoy it plain without the strawberry syrup.
We noticed that quite a number of people just drop by to try their matcha lattes and do a takeaway.

I personally went for their matcha lattes after sampling their rice bowls, and I was impressed by the quality of the matcha. Unlike many places where matcha can taste bitter or overly astringent, Ryokudo's matcha lattes have a smooth, silky texture with subtle umami notes, especially their Ryo Matcha variant. It's a fantastic option if you appreciate that savory depth in your tea.
While I initially tried their strawberry premium matcha latte, I found the pure matcha latte offered the best experience to truly savor the premium matcha flavor. It's no surprise that many customers tend to come in specifically for the matcha lattes, grabbing them as a takeaway — a testament to their popularity.
Beyond beverages, their menu features various rice bowls including beef, salmon, unagi, and chicken katsu, catering to different palates. The prices are reasonable for the quality and location, with matcha lattes starting at $6.50 and donburi bowls around $14.90.
If you're around the Singapore CBD area and craving authentic Japanese rice bowls paired with some of the best matcha drinks in town, Ryokudo should be on your list. It's worth visiting not only for a meal but also to enjoy a quality matcha that stands out from typical café offerings.
