Meta's new record, profits soar, but why would an employee want to get fired?
Meta has just smashed the record for the highest profit in company history! Ad revenue has surpassed nearly $200 billion, stocks have soared, and Mark Zuckerberg's wealth has increased dramatically. Looking at just the financial numbers, Meta is winning on all stadiums. 🏆💰
But if you look deeper into the office,..The situation turned shockingly bad. 🏢💔
Staff morale plummeted. A former employee came forward to reveal that the atmosphere before the termination date was as tense as "doomsday." Some employees even had to stockpile candy, drinks and office charging cables back home. The pressure ran so high that many employees prayed for themselves to be "named on the termination list" in order to get a severance package and walk away. 😰
This tension is not the only risk of loss of work. Most recently, Meta installed a laptop tracking program to record every print and mouse click, claiming to lead an AI train that employees "do not have the right to refuse." Moreover, on May 20, 8,000 employees were laid off to pay for the AI infrastructure, and those who survived were terrified of being forced into the company's "AI engineer army." 🤖💻
