The OCR content highlights a crucial and often overlooked issue: companies are building AGI and AI robots not to assist humans but to replace them and maximize profits. This resonates strongly with what I’ve seen in industries like customer service, content creation, and even medical diagnostics, where entire departments are increasingly automated. This technology advancement, while impressive, comes with a heavy societal cost. There's a real lack of preparation for displaced workers—no widespread universal basic income, insufficient retraining programs, and growing economic inequality. It’s a sobering reality that the current trajectory of AI development might lead to mass unemployment concentrated in low to mid-skill jobs, leaving most of the wealth and power in the hands of a few. However, I also believe understanding these dynamics empowers us to advocate for change. Awareness can drive policy discussions about fair AI deployment, workforce retraining initiatives, and economic models that support people displaced by automation. Sharing these observations and engaging with others concerned about AI’s impact helps build a community pushing for ethical and inclusive technological progress.
