The latest 2026 data update from ERCOT (Texas Electrical Reliability Council) reveals a very shocking number because the new AI Data Center project that is preparing to build has a combined application of 410 gigawatts (GW), which is "almost 5 times more than" the electricity capacity and peak point that the Texas grid used to make (about 85 GW)! 😱
The Hyperscale Data Center is packed with tens of thousands of GPU chips, each consuming hundreds of megawatts of fire. Some projects in the future will need electricity equivalent to all major cities.
