🤖 The New Age War measured not just the number of artillery, but also who could turn "information" into command faster.
Ukraine uses a combination of several digital battlefield systems, such as DELTA, GIS Arta and Kropyva, to weld data from drones, reconnaissance units, radars and sensors into its command network.
🛰️ Inside DELTA, there is also an Avengers system that uses AI and Computer Vision, analyzes images from drones and cameras, helps detect and classify munitions, reducing the officer's enormous image-chasing load.
When a target is found, coordinate information can be forwarded to the fire control system to select units within range, calculate fire information, and coordinate missions more quickly than using a paper map to a traditional radio.
The GIS Arta report states that in some situations, the system can change target information to a launch mission in about 30-45 seconds, but it does not mean that every attack will occur within a minute, because the actual time also depends on the type of weapon, the availability of troops, communications signals, and battlefield conditions.
⚠️ AI is therefore not a total substitute attack decision maker, but acts to accelerate analysis and support decision-making, with humans still in the process of command and approval of missions.
The key lesson is that on the current battlefield, "software, networking and the speed of information" may be as important as real-fire weapons.
