My Worth Is Not Measured by How Much I Can Handle
My worth is not measured by how much I can carry.
It is measured by how well I honor the limits God gave me.
For a long time, I believed strength meant pushing through exhaustion, ignoring my needs, and proving I could handle whatever was placed on my shoulders.
I wore burnout like a badge of honor.
I convinced myself that rest could wait, that boundaries were selfish, and that slowing down meant I wasn't working hard enough.
But I am learning something different.
Pushing through is not always progress.
Sometimes it is the fastest path to resentment, exhaustion, emotional numbness, and disconnection from the life I am working so hard to build.
I do not have to earn my value through suffering.
I do not have to prove my worth through overextension.
I do not have to sacrifice my well-being to demonstrate my commitment.
The healthiest version of me is not the one who carries everything.
It is the one who recognizes when enough is enough.
Today, I am giving myself permission to rest before I break.
To say no without guilt.
To create boundaries without apology.
To choose sustainability over survival mode.
Because honoring my limits is not weakness.
It is wisdom.
And my well-being deserves protection too.
I am not weak.
I am setting a boundary.
