what do we think of these?🤔
not gonna lie, when I first heard about this type of nail file I didn’t really understand the hype🤨 but after trying it out, I get it !!
instead of throwing away an entire nail file, you replace only the file strip that’s been used. as I showed in the video, I cut the strip in half and use only a quarter of the metal board at a time, meaning I can get multiple uses from a single file strip compared to using a full disposable file !!
when using this on clients, the metal board is disinfected and reused, while a fresh file strip is applied for the next service 🧼
some benefits IMO:
• less wasteful both environmentally and per client
• potentially cost-saving over time
• fun to use LOL
both the metal board and the removable files are from @Glitterbels use code DENASNAILS to save 💸

I recently switched to using a metal board nail file with removable strips, and honestly, it's been a game-changer for both my nail care routine and the environment. Instead of tossing an entire nail file after a few uses, I just replace the small file strip. This approach drastically cuts down on waste. What makes it even better is the ability to cut the strip further—some opt to use just a quarter of the metal file surface at a time, doubling or even quadrupling the lifespan of one strip! Another key benefit is hygiene, especially for professionals or those sharing tools. The metal board can be thoroughly disinfected between clients, ensuring safety, while the disposable strips keep each service fresh and sanitary. As someone who’s tried various nail files, I appreciate how sharp and efficient these removable strips are; though a pro tip is to gently score the strip edges after cutting to avoid any accidental skin scratches. Aside from practical advantages, there's something quite satisfying about the process—it feels more intentional and mindful compared to disposable files. Plus, partnering this with brands like Glitterbels, which offer quality products and discount codes, makes it more accessible. Overall, this system reduces environmental impact, potentially lowers long-term costs, and adds a bit of fun to my nail care routine.
