☁️ Things nobody warned me about being in your 20s

I thought by this age I’d know exactly who I wanted to be and what I wanted to do.

Turns out, your 20s are mostly about trying, learning, making mistakes, and figuring things out as you go.

And honestly? I think that’s okay. 🤍✨

... Read moreWhen I reflect on my 20s, one thing that stands out is how much I underestimated the unpredictability and emotional complexity of the decade. Everyone seems to be on a different timeline, which can feel isolating at times. Some friendships grow deeper, while others slowly drift apart. This natural ebb and flow taught me the importance of appreciating the relationships that stand the test of time and gracefully accepting those that don't. There were many days when I questioned if I was doing enough with my life—whether I was progressing fast enough or making the right choices. On some days, I had a clear plan, feeling confident about my direction; on others, I was completely lost and unsure of what to do next. Through this, I realized that it’s perfectly normal not to have all the answers in your 20s. Instead, it’s a time to experiment, make mistakes, and learn from each experience. Another surprising aspect was how much I outgrew old versions of myself. Interests changed, priorities shifted, and what once felt essential suddenly lost its appeal. This constant evolution can be uncomfortable, but it’s also a sign of healthy growth. Accepting that life in your 20s is not about having everything figured out but about the journey itself helped me find peace amidst uncertainty. It’s a decade of self-compassion, resilience, and embracing the messiness that comes with becoming the adult you aspire to be. These lessons, though unplanned, became some of the most valuable parts of my life’s foundation.
