POV: food is where all my money goes 😭🍚

there are people who save money…

and then there’s me seeing food and suddenly forgetting all my financial goals 😭

like why does a good meal genuinely fix my mood HAHAHA

bad day? eat.

good day? celebrate and eat.

tired? eat.

bored? somehow also eat 💀

at this point food is not an expense, it’s emotional support 🤍

pls tell me i’m not the only one 😭👇

... Read moreI've always found that food does more than just satisfy hunger—it genuinely acts as a coping mechanism for many emotions. Whether I'm stressed from a long day, celebrating small wins, or even just feeling restless, eating something delicious offers an immediate mood boost that's hard to beat. This emotional connection to food often feels like a reward system for life’s ups and downs. From personal experience, while saving money is a goal I commonly set, I find it tough to resist the urge to indulge whenever I see a tempting meal. This behavior isn't unique; many people relate to the idea of food as emotional support, which explains why finances can sometimes take a back seat. It helps to recognize these patterns and try balancing indulgence with mindful budgeting. I've started keeping a food journal and planning occasional treat days, so I don't feel deprived but also don't sabotage my financial goals. This balance helps me enjoy the comfort of food without the guilt. Additionally, exploring affordable and nutritious meals has been a rewarding journey—proving that emotional comfort doesn’t always have to come at a costly price. Ultimately, food can be a wonderful source of joy and emotional relief, but being conscious of this reality allows us to develop healthier habits that respect both our well-being and our wallets. If you resonate with this, remember: you're definitely not alone on this relatable food-money rollercoaster.

Value for money omakase!
🤩 $115 for 11 courses, premium ingredients like Hokkaido Oysters, A5 Wagyu, Uni, and fresh sashimi is really value for money. Local chef, non-traditional hole in the wall spot. Definitely better than average for this price range, and would recommend the restaurant to non-Japanese food snobs!
