I don’t know if it’s normal but I feel left out not having a house in Scorpio ♏️ or Taurus ♉️ . 2 houses in cancer ♋️♋️ and 2 in Capricorn ♑️♑️. With my sun and mercury in the 12th house of Gemini I think about death a lot. And at the same time rebirth. What a Gemini thing. And since my mercury is there too I talk about a lot in my writing and just on a day to day basis. My older family members are scared of death, but I think of it as an everyday process. Mercury also rules my moon sign Virgo so I do tend to overthink a lot but I’m really straight o the point with my words. Don’t waste no time. At leas that’s how I try to be. I use to hate being a cancer ♋️ rising cuz I felt like shy approaching people, but I find the best way to do so for me is to make people feel welcomed and supported. ... Read moreIt's fascinating how our birth charts truly are a cosmic blueprint, isn't it? After diving deep into my own chart, I realized there's so much more to explore beyond just the 'Big 3'. For instance, let's talk about Mercury in Gemini and its connection to Virgo. My chart shows Mercury in Gemini in the 12th house, and my Moon is in Virgo. It really highlights how strong that Mercury influence is! Gemini, ruled by Mercury, is all about communication, curiosity, and adaptability. Having Mercury in its home sign there definitely fuels my constant thinking and desire to express ideas, especially when it comes to deeper, introspective topics, fitting that 12th house vibe.
And then there's my Moon in Virgo, also ruled by Mercury! This combination makes me incredibly analytical about my emotions. I tend to process feelings logically, sometimes overthinking things, which the original post touches on. It's like my mind is constantly trying to organize and understand the emotional landscape. This dual Mercury influence really makes me appreciate how interconnected our chart placements are and how one planet can color so much of our personality.
Speaking of Gemini, a common question is "What planet rules Gemini?" It's Mercury! This makes perfect sense when you look at how quick-witted, communicative, and versatile Geminis are. Mercury, the messenger planet, governs intellect, communication, and transportation. So, if you're a Gemini, or have significant Gemini placements like my Sun and Mercury, you'll likely feel this energetic, curious drive to learn and share information.
Now, let's touch on Cancer placements. While my chart doesn't have Mars in Cancer (mine's in Virgo!), I do have a strong Cancer presence with my Cancer Rising and Venus in Cancer. And the OCR even shows my 1st Ascendant at Cancer 5°06', with two houses in Cancer! This means that emotionally, I deeply value nurturing connections and tend to approach the world with sensitivity, even if my outward persona (Cancer Rising) started off shy. My Venus in Cancer at 9°03' means I express love and value security in relationships, seeking comfort and emotional depth. It's about creating a safe, loving space for myself and others. For someone with Mars in Cancer, you might see their drive (Mars) expressed through protecting loved ones or nurturing their home environment. It's a very different energy than my Mars in Virgo, which is more about practical action and service.
My Sun in Gemini at 20°41' defines my core identity. It means I'm naturally curious, adaptable, and a lifelong learner. I thrive on new information and enjoy connecting ideas, which makes sense given my reflective nature about life and death. The Gemini Sun wants to understand everything, and with my Mercury also in Gemini in the 12th house, this quest for understanding often delves into the hidden, unconscious realms.
Although my Jupiter isn't in Virgo (it's in Aquarius!), the influence of Virgo is still significant in my chart with my Moon and Mars both in Virgo. Jupiter is the planet of expansion and philosophy. If Jupiter were in Virgo, it would expand on themes of service, health, analysis, and practical wisdom. These individuals might find luck and growth through meticulous work, attention to detail, and helping others in tangible ways. For me, with Jupiter in Aquarius, my expansion comes through innovative ideas and humanitarian connections, which creates an interesting dynamic with my practical Virgo placements.
Finally, while my Sun isn't in Cancer, having my Venus in Cancer is a big deal! And as I mentioned, my Cancer Rising is also very prominent. These placements truly shape how I experience and share affection. Venus in Cancer makes me incredibly empathetic and intuitive in relationships. I seek deep emotional bonding and security. My Cancer Rising, even if initially shy, has taught me to use my nurturing energy to make others feel welcome, which has been a powerful way to connect. It's a beautiful expression of Cancer's caring nature, even without a Sun in Cancer.
Exploring these different facets of my chart, from my Sun and Mercury in Gemini to my strong Cancer and Virgo placements, helps me understand how I navigate the world. It’s like each planet and sign tells a part of my story, and seeing them all together paints a clearer picture of my unique astrological journey.
