RestaurantReview: Vietnamese Asian Restaurant

Thursday Night Date Night - April 24th

#restaurantreview

We had a little dinner out at Vietnamese Asian Restaurant. This place never disappoints and unlike at lunchtime it was completely empty. Be aware that they do close at 7 on Wednesdays & Thursdays.

We tried some different things this time. I got the Hot & Spicy Thai Soup. It was amazing; a similar soup to Tom Yum Goong. Spicy, sour, tangy, & light - bold and delicate flavors were so well balanced. Then I tried the Pork & Shrimp Vermicelli. This dish was loaded with crunchy vegetables & served with this sweet vinegar based sauce. The pork had the most delicious sear on it. Really an outstanding healthy dish.

Josh got his favorite Bahn-Mi with the same seared pork. You can't really go wrong with the Bahn-Mi's at this place. But he branched out & gave the Vietnamese Street Noodles a go. And they were relieved with rave reviews. They are a thicker noodle, maybe wheat? Stir fried with broccoli. The oiliness had the best mouth feel against the softness of the noodles.

Everything I've ever tried at this place has been great. It was a great choice on this rainy spring date night.
