👍: Be Open an Approachable: The most importan tip is to start conversations. If you overhear a topic you like or a joke you think is funny people will just let you join in if you have something to add.

👍: Go to Campus Events: The events are free and they are so much fun you can get little goodies and meet people who are into the same thing as you without having to join a club

👍: Make the Most of Class : Join a study group or create one it will do wonders and you will build a connection with those people

👍:Be Patient: I know it can feel stressful and lonely but I promise you, you will eventually find your people. #collegelife #lemon8challenge #lemon8college#collegeadvice #letschats

... Read moreMaking friends in college can be a daunting task for many students, but it's crucial for creating a fulfilling college experience. One of the best ways to meet new people is to embrace social opportunities. Attend free events on campus—these are not only fun but also a great way to connect with individuals who share your interests. Look for workshops, fairs, and social gatherings where you can break the ice without the pressure of formal introductions. Living in dorms can also significantly enhance your social life. Dormitories often encourage interactions among residents, providing a close-knit environment to form friendships. Join clubs that align with your hobbies or interests; they are perfect platforms to meet like-minded individuals. For those shy about initiating conversations, simply saying ‘Hi’ can be a great starting point. Remember, everyone is looking for connection, and a simple greeting might lead to meaningful conversations. Stepping out of your comfort zone is essential when trying to make new friends. Participate in group activities, study sessions, or even try volunteering. Patience is key; find comfort in the knowledge that you will eventually find your community. Each step you take to be open and approachable helps pave the way towards lasting friendships, creating a support network that enhances your college experience.

See I love this. This is probably one of my biggest regrets, not making friends in college. I have social anxiety so I stayed too myself majority of the time, but I feel like I missed out on the college experience
