FULL ARMOR 🤍
Ephesians 6:10-18
The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
Hey beautiful souls! I wanted to share something that has truly transformed my daily walk, especially as a woman navigating all of life's ups and downs. We often hear about The Armor of God from EPHESIANS chapter 6, and for a long time, I just thought of it as a nice biblical passage. But let me tell you, when you truly understand and apply these verses, it becomes your lifeline. For me, putting on the full armor of God isn't just a metaphor; it's a daily intentional act of prayer and faith. As women, we face unique battles – whether it's self-doubt, societal pressures, juggling family and career, or simply feeling overwhelmed. That's why understanding how to be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power is so crucial. We're not fighting against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces, and believe me, the devil's schemes are real. Here’s how I’ve learned to practically "wear" each piece of this divine armor: The Belt of Truth: In a world full of conflicting messages, anchoring myself in God's truth is paramount. Before my day even begins, I remind myself of who God says I am – loved, capable, chosen. This sets my foundation and helps me discern what's real from what's a lie. The Breastplate of Righteousness: This isn't about being perfect, but about accepting Jesus' righteousness as my own. When I mess up, instead of shame, I confess and remember His grace. This protects my heart from guilt and condemnation, allowing me to serve with a pure motive. Feet Fitted with the Readiness of the Gospel of Peace: My readiness comes from knowing the peace that only Jesus offers. It’s a peace that surpasses understanding, even amidst chaos. This peace allows me to move forward with purpose, ready to share hope. The Shield of Faith: Oh, this one is huge! Every doubt, every fear, every negative thought that tries to pierce my spirit – I lift up my shield of faith. I remember His promises and trust that He is good, even when I don't understand. This is where active prayer comes in, extinguishing those fiery darts. The Helmet of Salvation: Knowing I am saved and secure in Christ protects my mind. When anxieties or worries try to take over, I actively choose to focus on my salvation and the hope I have in Him. It keeps my thoughts aligned with God's will. The Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God: This is our offensive weapon! I make it a point to read and meditate on scripture daily. When I face temptation or need wisdom, I speak God's Word over my situation. It's powerful and cuts through any darkness. And finally, prayer! Ephesians 6:18 reminds us to pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. This isn't just an add-on; it's the glue that holds the armor together and activates its power. I pray for wisdom, for strength, for protection for myself and my loved ones. I pray for the ability to stand against the devil's schemes and to use my mighty power given by God. This isn't always easy, but it’s incredibly empowering. When I intentionally put on each piece of The Armor of God through prayer and declaration, I feel equipped to face whatever the day brings. It reminds me that I am not alone, and I am strong in the Lord. It's a beautiful journey of faith, and I encourage every woman to embrace this spiritual discipline. You are a prayer warrior!
