Fortress of Light

In lands where time once spoke aloud, and winds still whisper through the crowd, a guiding beacon came to be, of steady spirit, bold and free.
An ancient fort gave name and ground, where echoes of the past are found. Fort Dallas still holds the sand, of struggle carved by human hand.
In days of hardship, fire, and war,
the earth bore scars it still bore.
As shadows moved through every mile, of the Second Seminole War trial.
Yet where once sorrow broke the night, a deeper voice rose into light— from many hearts, a single sound, in brotherhood the soul is found.
So there was born, with solemn flame, an Order carrying truth and name: the Independent Order of Odd Fellows stands, with helping hearts and guiding hands.
Its pillars three shall ever stay:
Truth, Love, and Friendship lead the way. Through silent work and steady art, they shape the mind, refine the heart.

En tierras donde el tiempo habló,
y el viento historias susurró,
nació un faro sin igual,
de espíritu firme y fraternal.
Un fuerte antiguo dio su nombre,
testigo fiel del paso del hombre,
Fort Dallas guardó memoria en su arena, de lucha, honor, dolor y pena.
En días duros de ardor y guerra,
la historia marcó profunda huella en tierra, como en las sombras del ayer, de la Segunda Guerra Seminole al deber.
Mas donde hubo división y llanto,
hoy se levanta un noble canto,
de manos unidas en hermandad,
bajo luz de fe y de verdad.
Así nació, con firme voz,
bajo ideales altos en pos,
la Orden que vino a construir,
y al alma humana redimir:
la Independent Order of Odd Fellows en su honor,
siembra en silencio fe y valor,
con tres virtudes por estandarte:
Amor, Verdad… y el noble Arte.
