1 Year of Back Pain Gone at Homeš„°
ā Personal Experience, Took 4 Weeksšš»
60 stops a day. In and out of the van. Lifting packages from 2 pounds to 80 pounds. My lower back didn't stand a chance.š©
The herniated disc diagnosis came after I collapsed loading a treadmill into my truck. Literally collapsed ā legs gave out, boxes everywhere, manager had to help me up in front of the entire depot. Humiliating. I was 29 years old.š„²
Doctor gave me muscle relaxers. Made me drowsy ā can't drive a delivery van half-asleep. Tried an inversion table from Amazon ā hung upside down in my living room, neighbors probably thought I'd lost my mind. Physical therapy twice a week ā missed shifts, missed paychecks.š„°
One of the old-timers at the depot, guy who'd been delivering for 25 years, pulled me aside while I was limping to the punch clock. "Kid." He handed me a patch. "Huayilang. Chinese delivery drivers all use these. Put it on before your route tomorrow." Then he walked away. No further explanation.š„ŗ
I put it on the next morning, skeptical but desperate.
30 minutes into my route, I pulled up to stop 12, swung my legs out of the van, and stood up ā normally the moment my back would seize. Nothing happened. I checked ā was it still there? Touched my lower back. The patch was warm, working, and I was standing straight. I finished 60 stops that day. Didn't call my manager once.š„³
First 3 days: Made it through every route. No limping at the punch clock.š¤©
By day 10: Loading boxes without the pre-lift brace-and-pray routine.
Week 4: Old-timer saw me at the depot and just nodded. That nod said everything.
If your job puts food on the table and your back's trying to take it away ā maybe take advice from the guy who's been delivering 25 years.
