I got the iPad mini 7 - one month review!

Yes, I’ve definitely needed the iPad Mini. Well, maybe not needed in the strictest sense. Everything I can do on my iPad Mini, I can also do on my iPad Pro. But the Mini has become my go-to device for one simple reason: convenience. I never used to bring my iPad Pro outside it’s bulky, a little awkward to carry, and honestly, I just don’t feel that comfortable using it in public. It’s not exactly the most portable thing.

The iPad Mini, on the other hand, is a total game changer for me. I use my iPad mostly for productivity and digital planning, and now I can actually do those things on the go. Whether I’m at a coffee shop or just running errands, the Mini slips into my bag easily and doesn’t feel like I’m lugging around a full workstation.

It’s also become a great Kindle alternative and it doubles as a sketchbook when I want to doodle or brainstorm. In a way, it’s the perfect digital pocket-buddy: my phone feels too small for serious work, and the iPad Pro is just too big. The Mini hits that sweet spot.

My only real complaint? It doesn’t have an M-series chip, so it lacks some of the more advanced features I get with my iPad Pro. But honestly, I don’t need it to do anything heavy-duty. It’s for the basics and for that, it’s perfect.

After using the iPad Mini 7 for a while, I’ve realized just how much its portability enhances my daily workflow. It fits effortlessly into my bag, making it easy to bring to coffee shops or while running errands, unlike the heavier and bulkier iPad Pro. This convenience means I actually use it more often for tasks like digital planning and note-taking. One feature I really appreciate is its suitability as a sketchbook. The screen size hits a sweet spot for doodling and brainstorming ideas without feeling cramped or cumbersome. While it lacks some advanced features like the Stage Manager available on iPad Pro models, its A17 chip handles everyday tasks smoothly, including Apple Pencil support for creative projects. I’ve also found the iPad Mini 7 to be a great Kindle alternative, letting me switch seamlessly between work and leisure reading. For those who love versatility in a small device, this iPad is a solid choice. It perfectly balances the gap between my smartphone’s limited screen and the oversized iPad Pro. Overall, its convenience and performance make it an indispensable digital companion on the go.
