While exploring the Wharf, I found it incredibly convenient to access various ferry services that connect to scenic destinations such as Salem, Provincetown, and even the Charlestown Navy Yard. The MBTA Inner Harbor Ferry system is especially useful for quick trips and provides stunning views of the city skyline along the way. One highlight during my recent visit was taking a harbor cruise departing from the Custom House Block area. These cruises range from casual sightseeing tours to thrilling whale watching adventures, allowing visitors to experience Boston Harbor’s rich maritime heritage and diverse marine life. The Whale Watch tours departing near the New England Aquarium offer a memorable chance to see whales and other sea creatures in their natural habitat. Long Wharf also serves as a hub for multiple ferry lines including the Boston Logan Airport shuttle and water taxis that provide flexible transport around the harbor and nearby islands.
