Living with purpose and faith is a challenge yet a rewarding journey that many find deeply enriching. By focusing on offering help, light, and hope to others, I’ve found a deeper sense of fulfillment beyond material success or fleeting pleasures. This has been especially true when I reflect on the call to imitate the selfless example of Jesus, living not for ourselves but for the betterment of those around us. One crucial insight I’ve gained is to never wait until it’s too late to dedicate energy and “bone and muscle” to meaningful causes. Often, the strength of youth and health can be misspent on trivial pursuits. Redirecting that energy towards charitable acts, spiritual growth, or uplifting others creates lasting treasures that outlive us. In practice, this means waking from the "sleep of death" — metaphorically representing complacency or spiritual dormancy — and engaging fully in life. Whether the work before us feels pleasing or challenging, accepting it as part of a divine plan enriches our perspective and motivates us to give our best effort every day. Serving "fervent in spirit" and knowing that such efforts are ultimately for a higher purpose provides motivation even when results aren't immediately visible.
