Becoming a new Golden Retriever owner has been such an eye-opening and rewarding experience. Duke, my adorable pup, is growing quickly, and every day brings new learning moments. If you're new to Goldens like me, you'll quickly discover how important their socialization and exercise needs are. These dogs are incredibly friendly and love being around family and friends, which makes them wonderful companions but also means they require consistent training and attention. One thing I've learned firsthand is the value of establishing a routine early on. Feeding Duke at consistent times, scheduling regular walks, and setting aside playtime help keep him balanced and happy. Goldens are known for their intelligence and eagerness to please, so positive reinforcement training has been my go-to method—and it works wonders. Connecting with other Golden Retriever owners and followers has been invaluable. Sharing advice and experiences has made my journey smoother, and I'm always open to messages from fellow dog lovers to swap tips or simply chat about our furry friends.
