I usually prepare Slippery Elm powder as a tea or mix it with water once daily, which helped ease my reflux symptoms over time. Aloe Vera, particularly in juice form labeled for internal use, has been another go-to for its anti-inflammatory benefits. Drinking 2 to 4 ounces daily, I noticed improved digestion and a gentle relief from occasional constipation. The active compound acemannan supports the growth of beneficial gut bacteria, which is crucial for gut barrier function and immune health. Peppermint is my favorite for digestive discomforts such as bloating and cramps. Whether taken as a tea or enteric-coated oil capsules, its antispasmodic effects relax the gut muscles and ease symptoms quickly. Turmeric, with its curcumin content, is excellent for chronic inflammation. Including turmeric in meals or taking a standardized extract daily helped me manage mild gut inflammation and supported liver processes vital for digestion.
