Still doing bench wrong??? Try this!!!🫡

5/1 Edited to

... Read moreWhen I first started focusing on my bench press, I realized that small changes like tucking my feet back and creating an arch in my back made a huge difference in stability and control. Before, my flat back position often left me feeling unstable and limited in the weight I could safely press. By consciously planting my feet firmly on the ground and maintaining a slight arch, I improved my leverage and was able to engage my chest and shoulders more effectively. One of the biggest challenges is understanding how to apply these tweaks correctly. For instance, the arch in your back shouldn't be exaggerated to the point of discomfort, but enough to create a solid base that supports heavy lifts. Similarly, tucking your feet back must be done without losing balance—this enhances leg drive which is vital for pushing up heavier loads. Executing the bench press with these stability tips also reduced the strain on my shoulders and minimized the risk of injury. It’s surprising how these subtle repositionings changed my form and ultimately my performance. If you’ve been struggling with flat back benching or feeling unstable, try these cues: flat back often means no stability, but arch back and tuck feet back can plant stability and better execution. Trust me, it’s worth practicing these until they feel natural. Small tweaks truly make the biggest difference!
