Work life balance as a Dr. ( to be a good Dr.)

Maintaining a work-life balance as a psychiatry resident can be HARD due to long hours, emotional demands, and the need to keep up with academic responsibilities. BUT achieving this balance is crucial for your well-being and effectiveness as a physician, so here are my tips:

- do more of things that bring you joy ( for me, that's the farmer's market)

- try new hobbies ( pottery, or a sport !)

- spend time with friends

- practice self care ( whatever that looks like for you)

I promise doing these things will make you a better and HAPPIER physician.
