Where Should Beginners Start Reading the Bible?
If you’re new to reading the Bible, you’re not alone. One of the most common questions people ask is: “Where do I even start?”
Many beginners open the Bible at Genesis and quickly feel overwhelmed. While Genesis is important, a better place to start is with the life of Jesus.
📖 Start with the Gospels:
• John – Learn who Jesus is and why He came.
• Luke – Discover the story of Jesus in detail.
• Matthew – See how Jesus fulfills God’s promises.
• Mark – Read a fast-paced account of Jesus’ ministry.
After the Gospels, continue with:
➡️ Acts – The beginning of the Church.
➡️ Romans – Understanding salvation and grace.
➡️ Psalms – Encouragement, worship, and prayer.
➡️ Proverbs – Daily wisdom for life.
The goal isn’t to finish the Bible quickly. The goal is to know God more deeply through His Word.
A simple daily habit of reading a few verses, praying for understanding, and applying what you learn can completely transform your faith journey.
Remember: Every mature believer was once a beginner.
Start with Jesus. Stay consistent. Trust God to guide you one page at a time.
