Hello. I am reporting from the We Do Not Care Club global chapter of frequent forgetfulness member number 1110111. We recognize @justbeingmelani as our leader and we thank her for creating this club. To enroll please follow @justbeingmelani and engage with her posts and share what you do not care about as women who are perimenopausal or menopausal.
Now onto our chapter report with today’s “We Do Not Care” declarations. We do not care that our phones enter witness protection, our laptops summon mystery programs like we’re unconscious tech witches, we walk into kitchens seeking divine inspiration then leave empty-handed, we have 47 files named “IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER” with zero clues what they contain, and we decline 4th of July invites because people are too peopley when we can be braless in PJs having sacred temperature rituals.
That concludes the report from the We Do Not Care Club global chapter of frequent forgetfulness. Thank you and have a good day. 🫡

Navigating perimenopause and menopause can often feel like a journey filled with unexpected surprises, especially when it comes to memory and cognitive changes. Many women experience what is affectionately termed 'brain fog,' a collection of symptoms including forgetfulness, difficulty concentrating, and mental fatigue. The "We Do Not Care Club," founded by @justbeingmelani, offers a refreshing space where women embracing these changes can share their experiences without judgment or pressure. One of the signature features of this community is the celebratory acceptance of those everyday moments when technology seems to betray us—phones going into 'witness protection' mode, laptops acting unpredictably as if by unconscious witchcraft, or finding ourselves in the kitchen with no recollection of what we intended to do. These anecdotes, humorously shared and collectively understood, serve as a reminder that such experiences are common and nothing to be ashamed of. The club’s ethos also encourages women to reject unrealistic social expectations. For example, declining overstimulating social events to enjoy the comfort of staying in pajamas and practicing 'sacred temperature rituals' reflects a mindful prioritization of self-care. These rituals and shared declarations enable members to embrace midlife with self-compassion and humor. Importantly, the club fosters connection among women who face similar challenges during perimenopause or menopause, including frequent forgetfulness and cognitive changes. By engaging with the club’s online content, following @justbeingmelani, and participating in conversations marked by hashtags such as #WeDoNotCare, #FrequentForgetfulness, #MidlifeUnfiltered, #PerimenopauseTruths, and #BrainFogIsReal, members cultivate solidarity and validation. In summary, the "We Do Not Care Club" highlights an important facet of women’s health rarely discussed openly: the cognitive shifts during midlife. This community’s approach—mixing honesty, humor, and empowerment—helps women navigate these changes with grace, reducing stigma and promoting mental wellbeing. It’s a reminder that amid the occasional chaos of forgetfulness and adjustment, there is a shared strength and joy in not sweating the small stuff.
