Meet cheez-it/ firecracker!🧡✨
Cheez-it was found under a trailer tangled in some string and wire mess around his neck.. he popped his head out from under for a last chance at hope..it was 80 degrees out but he locked eyes with his fate, my boyfriend lol! My boyfriend then grabbed the kitten and of course it was scared so the kitten bit him 🤣 we got the mess cut off him and brought him inside in the bubble bag..BOY WAS HE MEAN! He was jumping at us in the bubble while hissing.. (thats why he’s firecracker) I had to leave for work but when I got home I was up ALL NIGHT with this kitten trying to tame it and get some fleas off.. a week later he’s got a name, flea treatment of course, we know he’s 6 weeks and he is spoiled using the litter box on his own , and now walking freely around the house with my adult cat (Tito had to warm up to kitten as she is 3 years old and very used to being on her own) they now play together and I catch Tito grooming cheez-it every once in a while! Welcome home lil cheez cheez! 🥹
Bringing home a new kitten can be both exciting and challenging. It's essential to create a safe space for your kitten, especially if they come from a stressful background. For instance, providing a quiet area with cozy bedding and food can help your new pet feel secure. Kitten-proofing your home is also crucial to prevent injuries. Socialization is key! Encourage your adult cat to interact with the new kitten gradually, as Tito did with Cheez-It. Use toys and treats to foster positive interactions and prevent jealousy. Regular vet check-ups are vital to ensure both cats remain healthy, especially during their initial weeks together. Remember to keep up with vaccinations and flea treatments to maintain a safe environment. Finally, be patient and understanding. Just like Cheez-It, many kittens may require time to adjust. Give your new furry friend love and attention, and they'll soon feel right at home.
