Filipino and Japanese Food in ONE place?!
Parang may na-discover akong spot na ayaw ko pa sana i-share… pero too good not to share eh!
Filipino comfort food + Japanese dons in one place.
Unahin natin yung dons.
Tori mentaiko don creamy, smoky, sobrang umami.
Tori teriyaki don sweetand juicy.
Chicken katsu don crispy outside, juicy inside. Comfort food talaga.
Tapos pasok yung Pinoy favourites 🇵🇭
Beef tapa sweet and savoury, automatic extra rice.
Pork sisig sizzling and juicy. Ulam na ulam, walang laban ang diet.
Overall vibe feels like home pero may konting upgrade. Familiar pero exciting pa rin.

Having stumbled upon Momma’s in Geylang East Central, I can honestly say it’s a hidden gem for anyone craving both Filipino and Japanese comfort food. What makes this spot really special is the seamless blend of Filipino classics such as beef tapa and sizzling pork sisig alongside Japanese donburi dishes like tori mentaiko don and chicken katsu don. The tori mentaiko don stands out with its creamy texture and smoky, umami flavor—a perfect balance that keeps you coming back for more. The tori teriyaki don is delightfully sweet and juicy, capturing the essence of classic teriyaki. But if you want real comfort, the crispy-on-the-outside and juicy-on-the-inside chicken katsu don is a winner. From my experience, it’s a hearty meal that satisfies both the tummy and the soul. On the Filipino food side, the beef tapa was sweet and savory enough to make me reach for extra rice automatically—an absolute sign of a flavorful dish. And don’t even get me started on the pork sisig, which was juicy, sizzling, and packed with flavor, making it impossible to worry about dieting that day. The cozy yet modern ambiance gives off a welcoming homey vibe with a slight upscale feel, making it an exciting place to dine without losing the comfort of familiar flavors. Located just a five-minute walk from Aljunied MRT Station, it’s super accessible for both locals and travelers looking to indulge in a fusion feast. From my visit, I'll definitely return for a second round, especially before the lines get long. For anyone who loves a combination of Filipino and Japanese dishes or just wants to try something new and satisfying in Singapore, Momma’s is absolutely worth the trip.
