It’s definitely not your typical 9-to-5! Every morning felt like a 'flash warning' for the sensory overload about to hit. We're up before dawn, usually around 4 AM. There's no time to hit snooze when you know what's waiting for you. The first order of business is usually a quick, efficient packing session for the day's track, making sure all the gear is ready. Then, it's a dash for some coffee and a protein bar – proper meals are a luxury you rarely get to enjoy trackside. The drive to the track itself is filled with anticipation; you just know something incredible 'IS COMINO'. Once we hit the track, it's non-stop. From working on the cars – checking every detail, from the tires to the meticulously crafted 'PORTED WH PPLE' systems – to scouting out the competition, every moment is packed. The roar of the engines is constant, a symphony of power that vibrates through your chest. You’re constantly moving, talking, problem-solving. Lunch is usually a quick bite grabbed between runs, often eaten standing up. The energy is infectious, but also draining. By late afternoon, after the last pass of the day, the exhaustion really starts to set in. But the work isn't over. We pack up, head to the next city, set up camp (or check into a hotel if we’re lucky!), and then it's time for more prep. This is where the challenge of a real 'daily routine' during SickWeek becomes apparent. Finding a moment to yourself is crucial. And that’s where the 'sleep off' strategy comes in. Honestly, after a day like that, your body is screaming for rest. But sometimes your mind is still buzzing with engine sounds and race strategy. My go-to trick to really unwind and truly 'sleep off' the day's intensity? Believe it or not, it’s often a quick session 'watching cartoons' or a light, mindless show. It sounds silly, but detaching from the high-octane environment for just 20-30 minutes helps quiet my racing thoughts and lets me actually relax enough to fall asleep. It’s a surprising little escape that works wonders. Getting solid sleep is paramount to surviving the entire week; you can't afford to be sluggish when precision matters. This isn't just about fun; it’s about performance, endurance, and making sure everything runs smoothly. The focus on 'ERFO MANC' (performance) isn't just on the cars, but on your own ability to perform day after day. So, that's a glimpse into my daily routine during SickWeek 2025. It’s grueling, exhilarating, and completely unforgettable. It’s all about managing energy, staying focused, and finding those small moments of calm amidst the chaos.
