Almost regretted this booking 😔

Da Nang

I can't remember what drew me to this hotel but it was probably smth like "woww this looks soo coool" 😂

But fr it's because I wanted a high balcony view of the beach AND a pool, but since it was a last minute trip, a lot of hotels with these features were fully booked, so my search got narrowed by a lot

Why I kind of regretted this was because when I travel, I like to be within walking distance of the more “happening” areas. And I guess Da Nang beach night life *was* walking distance, just turned out to be a very long walk instead of a short one haha🚶🏻‍♀️

Luckily for me the Grab taxis were only around SGD1-3 for where I wanted to go along this stretch 🚕

At first I was sad we didn't have a cool rooftop pool like the other hotels (yeah I know boohoo first world problems), but when the unforgiving afternoon sun came, wow, then did I realise how lucky I was to have it in the middle of the building where there was shade 🏊🏻‍♀️

Loved the very cool rooftop bar too! 🍸

The hotel itself is simple and lovely and claims to be LGBTQ friendly (there was even a drag performance when I was there!) Breakfast spread was decent and some of the staff were... ecentric? But nothing off putting and overall came to love this hotel (they also had a sauna and hot tub!) ☀️

Would you stay here?

Da Nang

... Read moreIf you’re considering a stay at Radisson RED Danang, here are a few tips from my experience. Grab is indeed a very affordable and convenient way to get around the city, with rides typically costing SGD1-3, which makes reaching popular spots hassle-free even if you’re a bit farther from the main areas. The hotel’s location, though not right in the heart of Da Nang’s busiest zones, offers a nice balance between beach access and a quieter atmosphere. The pool's shaded position was a relief during the hot afternoons, which might be unexpected if you were hoping for a rooftop pool but ultimately made for a more comfortable experience. I also appreciated the hotel’s inclusive vibe; it felt welcoming and unique to have events like a drag performance during my stay, making it more memorable. The breakfast was solid enough to start the day, and the sauna and hot tub were perfect for unwinding after exploring town. For fellow travelers who prioritize nightlife and walkability, consider this hotel a bit farther out but manageable with rideshares. If you value quirky hotel staff and a homely yet stylish place to relax, Radisson RED Danang fits the bill. Plus, it’s great to see their commitment to being LGBTQ friendly, enriching the overall vibe. Lastly, a quick nod to some unique amenities I noticed in the hotel’s wellness area, including hair and body wash products that made me feel pampered. All in all, this hotel is a solid choice if you want to enjoy the beach, cool rooftop vibes, and a chill yet vibrant stay in Da Nang.
