books i'm DYING to read this year

Here's a part 2 of my TBR list. I'm excited to read these, especially "Supplication" and "Motherthing." I tend to like creepy/horror books, so if anyone has any recommendations PLEASE let me know 🙏🏻

I'm hoping to get through all of these this year, but who knows...I know I wanna read at least 25 books this year!!

'Silver Nitrate' by Silvia Moreno-Garcia captivates readers with its magical realism and LGBTQIA+ representation, perfect for those drawn to eerie elements. Another great pick is 'The Bog Wife' by Kay Chronister, an atmospheric tale woven with family dynamics and eco-horror, showcasing the mysteries of nature. Additionally, 'Milk Teeth' by Jessica S Andrews offers a poignant look at femininity and self-discovery, while 'Pay the Piper' by Daniel Kraus and George A. Romero delves into chilling social themes through a horror lens. Lastly, 'Motherthing' by Ainslie Hogarth provides a gripping exploration of motherhood and resilience, merging dark comedy with psychological depth. Each of these books promises to enrich your reading journey this year, especially if you are looking to uncover the multifaceted nuances of horror fiction.

fantasy books I want to read 🧚🏻🪄
my two biggest blind spots as far as genres go have always been YA and fantasy. Though I don’t naturally gravitate towards them i still like to keep an open mind and add them to my TBR when I come across them. This year I’m making more of a concerted effort to find books I like within these genres.
