Turkish Food Review (10/10) 🙌: NYC Restaurant Week

#lemon8partner #nycfoodreview #lemon8foodguide #letschat #food

If you’re looking for a truly unforgettable Turkish dining experience, NAR Modern Turkish Cuisine delivers on every front.

The Grilled Iriskit appetizer is a highlight. The meat is perfectly seasoned and grilled. Also, paired with rich Halloumi cheese. The combination of tender meat, creamy cheese, and fresh tomatoes is simply delicious.

The Nar Kebab is a real pleasure. The meat is flavorful and grilled just right, topped with smoky, creamy yogurt, and complemented by roasted diced tomatoes that add a touch of sweetness.

The Grilled Monkfish Kebab is tender, seasoned with black pepper, onions, and a fresh burst of lemon.

Overall, NAR Modern Turkish Cuisine offers an amazing dining experience.

The food was as beautiful as it was delicious, with each dish carefully made and beautifully presented. It was a treat for both the eyes and the taste buds.

... Read moreOkay, so you've heard about NAR Modern Turkish Cuisine, maybe even seen some mouth-watering photos, but you're still wondering if it's the place to go. Let me tell you, it absolutely is! Especially if you're like me and always on the hunt for an unforgettable dining experience in NYC. I recently visited NAR during NYC Restaurant Week, and honestly, it exceeded all my expectations. The ambiance alone is a treat – imagine walking into a chic space with elegant white tablecloths, comfortable blue banquette seating, and soft lighting. There's even a stunning abstract painting on a light wood-paneled wall that really sets a sophisticated yet welcoming tone. It's perfect for a special occasion or just a lovely night out. Now, let's talk food, because that's what truly shines here. While the main review touched on some highlights, I want to dive a bit deeper, especially for those considering their first visit. If you see the Grilled Iriskit appetizer, get it! The combination of perfectly seasoned grilled meat with rich Halloumi cheese and fresh tomatoes is just heavenly. It's a fantastic start, and trust me, you'll be thinking about it long after your meal. For the main course, the Nar Kebab is a showstopper. What really struck me was not just the flavor of the perfectly grilled meat, but also its presentation. Seeing it arrive on a pink plate, generously topped with that creamy white sauce and sprinkled with vibrant red spices, makes it an experience for the eyes too, just like in the photos! It’s served on a soft flatbread that soaks up all those delicious juices. And if you're a seafood lover, the Grilled Monkfish Kebab is a must-try. It’s incredibly tender, seasoned with just the right amount of black pepper and lemon, and often comes with beautiful accompaniments like grilled broccolini and a side of bright yellow rice. I even saw one dish come with roasted cherry tomatoes on the vine and grilled orange bell peppers – they truly pay attention to every detail. Beyond the specific dishes, what makes NAR stand out is the consistent quality and the feeling of authentic Turkish hospitality. Every dish feels carefully crafted – from those golden-brown fried rolls that might appear as an appetizer to the main kebabs and the subtle green sauce or creamy white sauce drizzles that add a gourmet touch. You can tell they put a lot of thought into both taste and visual appeal. Visiting NAR, especially during NYC Restaurant Week, is a fantastic way to experience their best offerings at a great value. But even outside of it, I'd highly recommend it. It’s not just a meal; it's a culinary journey that engages all your senses. If you're searching for "nar" and wanting to know if it's worth the hype, my answer is a resounding YES. Prepare to be impressed, and maybe even find your new favorite Turkish spot in the city!
