Must Try Cake in New York! 🥰

📍Location: Paris Baguette

💵 Price: $8.99

Paris Baguette is hands down my favorite bakery in New York. Without a doubt, they serve some of the best cakes in the city, and their rewards system is a delightful bonus.

Here’s my ranking of their cakes, based on my personal favorites:

1. Mango Coconut Cake– This cake is a tropical dream. The soft vanilla cake is perfectly balanced with a rich, creamy coconut filling, and the fresh mango adds a juicy, sweet burst in every bite. Topped with velvety coconut and mango creams, it’s like a refreshing, indulgent escape in cake form.

2. NY Style Cheesecake– The cheesecake is incredibly smooth and creamy, with a rich, dense texture that melts in your mouth. The buttery graham cracker crust adds a perfect crunch, while the soft cream and fresh strawberry topping add just the right amount of sweetness and freshness. It’s the kind of cheesecake that makes you want another slice.

3. Blueberry Chiffon Cake– Light and airy, this cake has a melt-in-your-mouth quality. The soft cream filling makes it smooth and indulgent, while the fresh blueberries give it a burst of tartness that balances the sweetness. It’s refreshing, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness.

4. Chocolate Strawberry Cake– If you love chocolate, this cake is pure bliss. The rich, moist chocolate cake is complemented perfectly by smooth, creamy layers, and the fresh strawberries add a juicy, sweet touch that elevates the whole experience. It’s the ultimate treat for chocolate and fruit lovers alike.

5. Maple Cake– This seasonal cake is like a warm hug on a plate. The maple flavor is rich and comforting, with a slightly sweet and earthy taste. It’s soft and fluffy, making every bite feel cozy and satisfying, perfect for those fall cravings.

I like to go early in the morning when it’s calm and quiet, perfect for working from home. After 8 AM, it gets crowded, and finding a seat can be tough. The staff is always friendly, making every visit enjoyable!

... Read moreBeyond my absolute favorite slices, I wanted to share a few more tips and insights to help you navigate the delightful world of Paris Baguette cakes, especially if you're exploring the best desserts NYC has to offer! It's not just about the cakes; it's the whole Paris Baguette Bakery Cafe experience. I often visit for a quiet morning, grabbing a delicious latte to pair perfectly with my chosen sweet treat. The aroma of freshly baked goods is always inviting, making every visit a little escape. A cake that often pops up in conversations and searches, but didn't make my personal top 5 this time (I can't try everything at once, right?!), is their Carrot Cake. I’ve heard amazing things about it – described as incredibly moist, perfectly spiced, and topped with a generous, tangy cream cheese frosting. It’s definitely high on my list for my next visit, especially for those who love a classic with a twist. It represents another fantastic option on the extensive Paris Baguette cake menu, showcasing their diverse sweet offerings. Speaking of variety, while my list focused on individual slices, don't forget they offer whole cakes too, which are perfect for celebrations! The price of $8.99 for a slice might seem a bit steep to some, but honestly, for the quality, flavor, and generous portion size you get in a city like New York, I find it to be excellent value. You're getting a gourmet experience without the gourmet restaurant price tag. When you consider the intricate layers of a Mango Coconut Cake with its velvety coconut and mango creams, or the decadent Chocolate Strawberry Cake featuring rich, moist chocolate cake layers and fresh strawberries, it truly feels worth every penny. For those who might be hesitant about trying a whole cake, starting with a slice is a brilliant way to explore. If you're pondering between a Paris Baguette Strawberry Shortcake slice or something like their Strawberry Cream Cake slice, my advice is to think about what kind of sweetness and texture you prefer. The NY Style Cheesecake with its buttery graham cracker crust offers a rich, dense experience that melts in your mouth, while the Blueberry Chiffon Cake is all about that super light and airy sensation. Each cake has its own unique charm, catering to different cravings, whether you prefer a burst of tartness from fresh blueberries or the warmth of a seasonal Maple Cake with its comforting maple flavor. I also appreciate that Paris Baguette often introduces seasonal cakes. It keeps the menu fresh and exciting, giving you a reason to keep coming back. It’s not just about finding the "best cake," but discovering new favorites. So, next time you're near a Paris Baguette location in NYC, take a moment to explore their full display. You might just find your own personal "must-try" that isn't even on my list yet! Happy cake hunting!

Their Mango Coconut Cake is pure summer in a bite! I’ve gone just for that cake twice this month. Love that you can work there early before it gets busy—way more chill than other bakeries nearby.
