Strands in the Web is a Fictional Fantasy Romance by K.T. Host

Our main character, Valorie is navigating her final year of college at Sycamore University alongside her two long term best friends. While Valorie is striding towards her future she is struggling to escape her past. Ex-boyfriend, Xaiver wreaks havoc on Valorie by not letting her escape the grasp of his narcissism and abuse. Valorie meets a handsome new student, Conall, who quickly becomes her other worldly knight in shining armor. Conall is from the world of, Avallea who was sent to Earth with one mission… Kill Valorie.

For me this was a 3-star read. Did I enjoy it? Yes! Were the characters likable? Yes! This lacked stars for me simply because I felt like there was a lack of character depth. I absolutely loved the ending and can’t wait for people in my life to read this so we can talk about the ending. The downfall to me was when we got to know some about all the characters, it seemed to me like Valorie, her best friends, and Conall had no bad sides to them which was unrealistic to me. This may not be an issue for some readers. I thought Strands in the Web was a great quick read. I think this would be a good book to get yourself out of a book slump.
