I honestly don’t think it’s fair

I live in a duplex with just one driveway that I use every day. My neighbor has a bunch of cars and lately she keeps pulling into my driveway whenever she can’t find street parking. She always says it’s “just for a few minutes,” but it ends up blocking me when I’m coming home.

The other day I had groceries and she was parked there again. I had to sit in my car honking until she came out. I finally told her I don’t want her parking there anymore, and if it happens again, I’ll have her car towed. She rolled her eyes, called me uptight, and now she’s telling people I’m being rude instead of “neighborly.”

I honestly don’t think it’s fair my driveway isn’t a free-for-all. Would you guys put up with this or set the same boundary?

Have her car towed. Don’t just threaten. Do it.

Why are you concerned what people think of you? People will always talk whether you do good or bad. Do good and trust that the truth always comes to surface. Maybe some neighbors believe her and treat you poorly. It’s only a matter of time before they do something to that neighbor and the truth will be revealed.
