1/24 Reflection🫶✨

I’m halfway through my first month of reading the Bible in a year and it’s been an adjustment. I will be the first to admit I always struggled with reading my Bible everyday. I wanted to read the Bible in a year as a way to not only learn more about God but to put myself in a position where I build the habit of choosing to hear from him daily. The start was a little rocky. I missed a few days and then spent a few days after playing some catch-up. Despite that I now have myself back on track and have been trying to create time that I can be consistent with in my day to read the Bible. Although I am still working on building this habit, I know it’s gonna take a lot of strength for me to continue this habit once I’m back in school in the next few weeks. I’ve been opening every time I read with prayer and continually praying, “ God, allow me to make this apart of my day, allow myself to need your word every day to feel whole.” I’m making this commitment this year to strengthen my relationship with the Lord, and although it started with a rocky start, I have proven to myself that I am committed and ready for what the Lord has for me.

... Read moreReading the Bible in a year is a transformative journey that many Christians embark on to deepen their faith and understanding of scripture. It often begins with genuine intentions but can face hurdles like busy schedules, distractions, and varying levels of motivation. To maintain momentum, consider developing a structured reading plan that allocates specific times during the day for meditation on scripture. Using resources like reading schedules and online groups can also enhance the experience. By joining online communities, you can share reflections and gain support from fellow believers. Commit to prayer before each reading session to center your heart and mind, allowing God's word to resonate deeply. Furthermore, utilizing apps and podcasts focused on Bible teachings can be helpful in keeping you engaged and inspired. This year can be a significant spiritual growth opportunity, helping you connect more profoundly with your faith and God's divine purpose in your life.
